Laura wins at 2007 Latin Grammy Awards - 2007-11-16
Laura Pausini has been honored at the 2007 Latin Grammy Awards. The Italian performer won for best female pop vocal album. Dominican singer Juan Luis Guerra was the big name of the night, receiving five awards with his album La Llave de mi Corazon ,including record of the year, album of the year, and song of the year. The ceremony took place in Las Vegas for the first time and aired for more than one hundred countries.
Modena says goodbye to Pavarotti - 2007-09-27
Laura Pausini, U2 singer lead Bono, Andrea Bocelli, Zucchero Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi and former UN general secretary Kofi Annan were some of the big names that attended the ceremony of the funeral of the Italian tenor Luciano Pavarotti on September 8 in Modena, Italy. Bugarian soprano Raina Kabaivanska paid homage to Pavarotti, singing a touching Ave Maria from Giuseppe Verdi’s opera Othello. Over than 100.000 people were bunched up together nearby the cathedral to watch the ceremony on large screens.
Laura says ‘love doesn’t distinguish sex’ - 2007-08-23
Laura Pausini doesn’t agree on making a distinction between hetero and homosexual, because ‘love doesn’t distinguish sex.’ The singer told an Italian magazine, “It drives me crazy when people make differences between heterosexual and homosexual. God does’t put people in categories, especially talking about love. I remembered once when I talked about this on TV and the Vatican got angry. I also think that homosexuality is not al illness”, Laura explained she is not gay but undertands other people suffer when they can’t tell anybody what’s going on.

Remo Festival'93, and Laura was to Milan, where she's living
